Beer is the world's most popular alcoholic beverage. It is produced by the fermentation of sugars derived from starch based material like malted barley with wheat, corn or rice.

Three main types of beer are -
* Ale - It is brewed using top fermenting yeasts.
* Lambic - It is made by spontaneous fermentation using wild yeasts.
* Lagers - It is brewed using bottom-fermenting yeast.

Beer is mainly served as
* Draught beer
* Cask conditioned ales
* Can Beer
* Bottled Beer

All Indian beers are mainly lagers. Kingfisher, Kings and Belo are popular Indian beer brands.
